The Scunthorpe modern image railway group (SMIRG)

The club was formed in late 2010 by a group of modellers interested in modern image model railways.
The current members model diesel and electric trains from British rail blue up to modern privatised trains today.
The group have successfully presented a yearly local model railway exhibition which has attracted layouts which have appeared in various monthly model railway magazines.
The club is currently working on a brand new OO gauge layout which can be run with digital (DCC) or standard (DC) controllers. The club is open to new members to anyone interested in model railways, the club meet on a weekly basis at Grange Farm Hobbies Centre, we are based upstairs.

Meeting Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 18.00 - 21.00
