THE HOSPITAL PLAYERS
WE are the longest running amateur dramatic group in
Scunthorpe, originally opening the tabs in 1943 and recently back in action
following the pandemic!
We regularly rehearse at Grange Farm
Community Centre, but putting on a play involves much more than just rehearsing
a script.
As a group we design and build our own sets
and design, record and edit our own sound and lighting plot. We also write and
film our own trailers, design the posters, source and sometimes make the
costumes and so much more. As you can see there are always plenty of things to
get involved with on and off stage!
We are a very friendly group and always welcome new
members - so if you are looking to join a fun, exciting and friendly group then
look no further. You can be as involved as you want to be! We currently put on
3 shows a year at our local venue The Plowright Theatre and we pride ourselves
on giving the best performances possible, but we also think its very important
to have fun along the way.
You can check out our website at www.thehospitalplayers.co.uk to find out more about us and see all the wonderful things that we have
been up to over the past 70+ years.
